For 35 years, we were represented by the most conservative congressman in the nation.  Then Melissa Bean surprised everyone (including the incumbent) by winning the seat in 2004.  Every year, she has increased her margin of victory.  And in 2010, Congressional Quarterly rated the 8th "safely Democratic."  Amazing, considering where we came from.

Nancy Shepherdson's goal as 8th District State Central Committeewoman is to elect Democrats at all levels of government.  She has recruited precinct workers, volunteers and candidates to help get that job done.  And we now have a committed team of people who are helping the Democratic victories roll in.
